Pet Talk: Meet Jack Daniels and Dover
Monday’s Pet Talk belongs to the dogs as we meet a new pitbull mix named Jack Daniels and a familiar face that still needs to find a forever home named Dover.
JD, which stands for Jack Daniels is a pit bull mix with a beautiful tri-colored coat and hazel eyes. He has been the shelter since July of last year and he has the sweetest disposition. At first, some may be overwhelmed by his high energy persona, but that quickly fades as he tires easily. While Jack Daniels loves to go on walks, he would do just fine lounging inside the home. Not a big fan of dogs his size or larger, he prefers to hang out with the smaller breeds. He is said to be about 3 years old and will get neutered upon adoption.
Next is Dozer, a playful tan pit bull terrier. Dozer arrived at the shelter as a puppy back in September of 2017. Very protective of his things, he loves to run around and sit high up. He is good with other dogs his size or bigger and is potty trained. Dozer needs a family that is going to take him on regular walks and also give him a large yard to call his own. He is neutered and ready to meet you.
If you are interested in either Jack Daniels or Dozer, please call the Humane Society of Imperial County at (760) 352-1911, they are open Tuesday through Saturday. You can also email them at ivhumanesociety@gmail.com.
