Military Matters: Devil Dogs get new set of tools
In battle, air superiority may mean the difference between wining and losing; that’s one of the reasons the U.S. Marine Corps. pushes itself to practice, practice, practice. Each year, the Weapons and Tactics Instructors course is held at Marine Corps. Air Station Yuma for the sole purpose of making sure that our elite fighting force is always on its toes.
According to the Marine’s website on March 28 2018 WTI added a new training course which will enhance our air supremacy. When our forces build make shift forward operating bases the most vital portion is the airfields and landing pads. If there is any damage to the landing strip the result can be catastrophic. That’s why it’s been added to the WTI training list.
The class which was attended by Senior Marines and noncommissioned Marines taught each one to identify a problem and use the tools needed to fix the problem.
