City Hall closing, trash pickups altered around July 4

Yuma City Hall will be closed Tuesday, July 4 for observance of Independence Day.

The preceding Friday, June 30, Yuma City Hall will be closed as part of its normal rotating Friday schedule.

Residential refuse collection for some homes inside the Yuma city limits will change due to the holiday. City of Yuma residents who normally have their garbage picked up on Tuesday will have collections on Wednesday.

There will be no change that week for those who have garbage pickups on Mondays.

Curbside recycling pickups will take place as normal on Thursday and Friday.

Valley Aquatic Center, 4381 W. 18th St., which is open for summer open swim season, will also be closed on July 4. Other Monday-through-Friday events scheduled by the City of Yuma will not take place on July 4.

Residents can still read official city documents, register for a Parks and Recreation program and more whenever City Hall is closed by visiting www.yumaaz.gov.
