It can be said that the Desert Southwest’s warm temps are an acquired taste; but according to weather experts our tolerance is about to be tested. The National Weather Service has released a heat advisory for the next few days and has even predicted that temps will hit 118 degrees in the earlier part of next week.
Shortly after that advisory was released the National Aeronautics and Space Administration released their report which showed that May 2017 was the second hottest month on earth in the last century. The first being May of 2016, the information was gathered from 6,300 meteorological stations from around the world.
