A Phoenix couple is living a parent’s worst nightmare after their nine-year old son was shot in the head. On Monday, emergency crews were called out to the home for a report of a shooting involving a child.
Police were told by the mother who was at home with her three children that she had laid the gun on the bed and had turned to get a holster, when she turned back she saw her nine-year old son bleeding from his head and her two-year old son holding the gun.
The victim was taken to the hospital where according to reports he is in critical condition; published reports also noted that the mother was taken into custody and the father is also being questioned.
