Topic of the Day: Immigration Report Shows decrease

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has released their month by month report and are showing dramatic decreases in apprehensions. Some analysts believe this may be a result of President Trump’s tough stance on immigration.
In January, even before President Trump pushed for tougher immigration enforcement the number of apprehension went down 30 percent and in February that number jumped to 40 percent.
The decrease breaks a 20 year trend that showed increases in apprehensions during the beginning of the year. The report shows even larger decreases in families and unaccompanied minors attempting to cross illegally.
