More affordable housing options underway in Yuma; Housing Authority places focus on family resources

58 new units of affordable rental housing will be available in Yuma in about a year. The Housing Authority of the City of Yuma says the addition of the Mesa Heights Apartments will “piggyback” on the city’s revitalization efforts in the Mesa Heights neighborhood.

The complex will live on the currently empty lot on Arizona Avenue in between 20th Street and 22nd Street in Yuma. The city says this project will jumpstart the revitalization of the mesa heights neighborhood–starting with families.
