Attorney General Kris Mayes runs for reelection

Arizona Attorney General

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Attorney General Kris Mayes (D-Ariz.), who is running for reelection, has a message to Yuma County voters as the election nears.

"Drop your ballot off at a Dropbox at an in person voting site or you can go just vote in person so nows the time," Attorney General Mayes shared.

Mayes said now is the time to vote with the election quickly approaching.

"I'm a fighter, I fight for people who don’t have a voice, I fight for people who can't fight themselves against big corporations," says Mayes.

If reelected, Mayes is looking to focus on the drug trafficking crisis, protecting consumers from price fixing, and protecting our water supply in Arizona.

Mayes said she will continue to be a lawyer for Arizona and continue her work in the Attorney General's Office.

"Arizona needs a strong price gouging law we really don't even have a price gouging law and so to protect consumers against price gouging you know people in yuma and people in the state of Arizona are facing huge price increases in the price of pretty much everything," Mayes explained.

Mayes is running against Republican Attorney General candidate Warren Petersen in the midterm elections on November 3.
