NBC News poll shows how Americans feel about key issues during President Trump’s second term
(NBC, KYMA/KECY) - A new NBC News Decision Desk poll is shedding light on how Americans are feeling about key issues during President Donald Trump's second term in office.
When asked whether the Trump Administration must follow a federal court ruling that declares one of its actions illegal, a strong majority 81% say yes, the administration must stop the action. Just 19% believe it can continue regardless of the ruling.
As for the Supreme Court, 11% of Americans say they have a strongly favorable opinion, and 44% are somewhat favorable. But 33% are somewhat unfavorable, and 12% strongly unfavorable showing a nation with mixed feelings about the highest court.
On the topic of health, Americans are divided on what's most responsible for chronic conditions like obesity and heart disease. 35% blame the food industry, while 32% point to individual choices. Other factors like socioeconomic status, insurance companies, and environmental toxins received less blame.
When it comes to Robert F. Kennedy, public opinion is mixed. 15% view him very favorably, and 36% somewhat favorably. On the other hand, 20% have a somewhat unfavorable view, and 28% say their opinion is strongly unfavorable.
Finally, on the topic of vaccines, support remains high. 49% of Americans strongly support using vaccines to prevent disease, and another 31% somewhat support it. Only 13% somewhat oppose, and 7% strongly oppose vaccines.
These poll results provide a snapshot of how Americans are thinking and feeling during this pivotal time in Donald Trump's presidency.
