Trump wants ‘names and countries’ of international students

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - President Donald Trump says that he wants the 'names and countries' of tens of thousands of international students at Harvard University.

In a post on social media, Trump suggested that foreign countries should contribute funding in the education of their students.

Trump said that some of those countries are not friendly to the U.S. and "pay nothing to their students' education, nor do they ever intend to."

Trump argues that the request for names and countries is reasonable, saying "we give Harvard billions of dollars each year."

The action prompted the university to sue and was temporarily halted by a federal judge.
