(KYMA, KECY) - The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) released numbers related to Arizona workplace injuries and illnesses in 2021.

According to BLS, there were about 57,100 workplace injuries and illnesses were reported in Arizona's private industry employers in 2021.

In the data, there were 2.8 cases per 100 equivalent full-time workers in the private industry incidence rate of total recordable cases(TRC).

These incidence rates also ranged from 0.7 in financial activities to 4.7 in natural resources and mining says BLS.

The rate ranged from 2.8 establishments employing 1,000 or more workers to 3.3 for establishments that deploy 11 to 49 workers.

BLS says the TRC rate of 2.8 in 2021 was not much different from the 2020 rate of 3.0.
