Angel Tree Distribution Program takes place at Yuma Palms

Salvation Army hosts annual gift donation event

YUMA, Ariz (KYMA,KECY) - At various retail stores across Yuma, the Salvation Army Yuma corps has been attaching angel tree tags on Christmas trees for families to fill out with wishlist items they'd like for Christmas.

Once granted, the Salvation Army then collects gifts and distributes them to the families that had requested gifts, by assigning them a bag and a number with their items in it at the their distribution center.

Hundreds of volunteers showed up for the annual event.

Gifts were mainly catered towards children and primarily included bikes and dollhouses.

Although the deadline to donate a gift and volunteer for the Angel Tree Distribution Program has passed, the Salvation Army Yuma corps is always seeking new donations and volunteers. Please visit https://yuma.salvationarmy.org/yuma_corps/ for more information
