Sinema urges leaders to improve Arizona’s border security
WASHINGTON (KYMA, KECY) - Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema stressed to Democratic and Republican Senate appropriations leaders to have funding that will improve Arizona's border security.
Sinema says the funding is needed in the end-of-year government funding bill to help improve the border crisis.
“As Title 42 soon ends, Congress must step up and provide robust investments to strengthen and improve our border security in the annual bipartisan government funding bill. With proper funding, we can help ensure border officials and communities have the resources necessary to manage this crisis,” said Sinema, Chair of the Senate Border Management Subcommittee.
In the press release, Sinema mentions that without the support, the border crisis will worsen and burden border communities, and will put migrants' lives in danger.
