Minor flown to Phoenix-area hospital after drowning incident

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA/KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to a drowning involving a minor Saturday.

YPD says it was called to the Pecan Grove area around noon. When officers arrived on scene, life-saving measures were already being taken.

The minor was then taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) and later flown to a Phoenix-area hospital.

The age and current condition of the minor are unknown at this time.

YPD says it's still investigating this case.
