Interstate 8 Closure causes drivers to expect delays

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - There is a traffic advisory for those who are driving on Interstate 8 Saturday.

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) says there was a crash near Gila Bend.

This has caused a closure of westbound lanes.

ADOT says drivers should seek alternate routes and expect delays.

Eastbound lanes are unaffected.

As of Sunday, June, 12, the westbound lanes have reopened on Interstate 8.
