Local temperatures climb to triple digits heading into the weekend
YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - Widespread 90s are expected across the lower deserts the next few days, with Friday and Saturday being the hottest days. A period of gusty winds will develop on Wednesday across the Lower Colorado River Valley and across the higher terrain of south- central Arizona early Thursday and Friday. Much cooler weather is then likely by early next week, along with breezy conditions and a slight chance of showers.
