United States Border Patrol/ MGN

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A group of 37 migrants was arrested by Yuma Sector Border Patrol with one of them having a warrant out for their arrest for the sex abuse of a child.

On Friday, at about 2:30 a.m., agents patrolling the area around County 17th Street and the Salinity Canal blocked the group after illegally entering the United States from Mexico.

They were all apprehended and taken to the Yuma Station for additional processing.

Record checks were executed on every person and an extraditable warrant came about from the Dallas County Sherrif's Department for one of the migrants, a 40-year-old female.

The woman was arrested in 2014 in Richardson, Texas for ongoing sex abuse of a child under 14-years-old and was given a court date and fled thereafter.

She was turned over to the Yuma Police Department for extradition to Texas.
