‘Jesus is Born’ play now on stage

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA/KECY/KSWT) - As the holidays are rolling in, 13 On Your Side caught up with the actors of 'Jesus is Born' a local theatrical production produced by Champion Church.

But the production is not your typical nativity scene play. The production is a timeless classic in the local community and audiences will experience a nativity play unlike any other.

'Jesus is Born' is a mix between the traditional Christmas nativity and a modern version. Featuring over a hundred actors, music and live animals Pastor Lacinda Bloomfield describes the production as "the perfect way to celebrate the holidays."

Performances run from December 20th to the 22nd. Doors open at 6 pm and performances start at 7 pm. The play is free.

Champion Church is located at 2625 South Ave. 5-E in Yuma.
