Imperial Valley strike force responds to California fires

A strike force from Imperial County consisting of fifteen first responders arrived at a base camp in Sonoma County, California today to help battle the Kincade fires.

Imperial County Fire Chief Alfredo Estrada said four engines in total from Imperial County, El Centro, and Holtville have been sent to California’s aid.

Yuma Fire Department responded earlier this week to the Riverside area.

These strike force teams may take up to 14 days to return home. California has recently declared a state of emergency, as millions have been affected by wildfires.
