Students detained after creating molotov cocktail in Mexicali school

MEXICALI, Mexico (KYMA) - Six middle school students created and detonated a molotov cocktail in a Mexicali school Thursday.

The students were detained by police and a security protocol was activated on campus.

Police say the molotov cocktail was made inside the school.

The students remain in custody and are between 14 and 15 years old.

Some parents are upset saying they were not notified about the explosion for several hours.

No injuries were reported.
