Singer D4vd accused of murdering missing teen pleads not guilty

LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA) - Singer D4vd appeared in court Monday where he pleaded not guilty in connection to the death of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas.

The 21-year-old, whose legal name is David Burke, was charged with first-degree murder with special circumstances, including allegations of lying in wait, murder for financial gain and murdering a witnesses in an investigation.

He also faces one count each of continuous sexual abuse of a child under the age of 14 and unlawful mutilation of human remains.

The Rivas family was present at Monday's arraignment where Burke's attorney entered a plea of not guilty on his behalf.

The judge ordered he be held without bail and set a preliminary hearing for Thursday.
