It was a night full of celebration in the Kingdom
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - There's a new King in the Kingdom for Kofa soccer.
Leonel Rodriguez cemented his name in Kofa history, scoring two goals against the Yuma Criminals en route to a 4-0 win on Tuesday night at Irv Pallack Field.
With those two goals, Rodriguez now has 38 on the season, surpassing former Kofa single-season record holder Tiernan Nicewander.
Joshua Sullivan and Danniel Matias Vera also found the back of the net in the Kings win.
Kofa dominated the first half, scoring all four goals in the first frame, as the Criminals locked down the second half.
The Kings next game is a home contest against San Luis this Thursday while the Criminals hit the road on Wednesday to take on Desert Sunrise.
