Sunny skies and mild temperatures to continue through the weekend
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - After a beautiful Thanksgiving Day, the sunny and tranquil weather is sticking around for Yuma and Imperial County.
Highs this Thursday and Friday are expected to reach the mid to upper 70s, making for near-perfect conditions across the lower desert areas. Overnight lows will dip into the mid-40s to low 50s, with mostly clear skies expected.
The weekend will stay mostly calm. Saturday looks to be another gorgeous day, with clear to mostly clear skies and highs in the lower 70s.
A fast-moving weather system is expected to approach the region late Sunday into Monday, but it's likely to bring little more than some high clouds and slightly cooler temperatures, keeping highs in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Chances for any precipitation in the lower deserts remain very low less than 10%.
Winds will generally remain light, under 10 mph, with typical daytime gusts only occasionally reaching the upper teens. Humidity levels are expected to stay low, but overnight recoveries will remain good, keeping fire risk minimal.
Looking toward next week, the forecast becomes less certain. Models are hinting at a possible weather pattern developing to the west, which could bring cooler temperatures or more unsettled weather, but details remain unclear at this time.
For now, residents can enjoy plenty of sunshine and mild conditions, a continued stretch of ideal late-November weather for Yuma and Imperial County.
