El Centro offering free swim admission at Aquatic Center

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - This summer, kids in El Centro can swim for free.

The city council has approved a new program offering free public swim admission and discounted lessons at the el Centro Aquatic Center.

It runs from Memorial Day through Labor Day and is open to local families who meet income requirements.

The initiative was led by Mayor Sonia Carter, who says the goal is to make swimming safe and accessible for all.

Applications are available online and at the Aquatic Center.
