Easter Sunday brings warm, quiet weather

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Calm and sunny weather has returned just in time for Easter Sunday.

A high-pressure system is now over the Desert Southwest, bringing afternoon highs in the mid-to-upper 80s across the lower desert, right around normal for this time of year. It's a perfect day for outdoor Easter events and spending time with family.

Temperatures will warm up even more on Monday, reaching the upper 80s to low 90s, and should stay that way through the week. Skies will remain mostly clear, with just a few high clouds moving in Sunday night.

Winds will be light and follow normal daily patterns. No rain is expected in the coming days.

Looking ahead to next weekend, another weather system may move in from the Pacific, possibly bringing cooler temperatures and stronger winds, but for now, that's still uncertain.

Enjoy the warm and quiet weather while it lasts!
