Cost of a pet getting more expensive

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - The cost of being a pet owner is skyrocketing nationwide.

Rover's latest True Cost of Pet Parenthood report says that dog owners can expect costs to increase as much as 7% this year, while cat owners could see an increase of around 10%.

Rover predicts that the average annual cost of a dog in the year 2025 sits at around $1,400 to $5,200 per year.

The company also predicts the annual cost of owning a cat from $750 to $3,500.
