San Luis baseball uses timely hitting to take 4-2 win over Apollo

The Sidewinders' bats woke up in the fourth inning to help lead them to their second win of the season

SAN LUIS, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - San Luis baseball (2-1) took down Apollo (2-1) 4-2 at home on Monday afternoon.

With a runner on second, senior Cesar Chavira came up with an opposite field single to left field to make it 2-1.

Then a bit later with runners on second and third, senior Santiago Zepeda lifted a fly ball out to center for a sacrifice fly, tying things up at two.

San Luis would then add two more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to seal the win.

The Sidewinders will be back in action on Monday Mar 17, as they welcome in Cibola for a two-game series.
