Three injured following gas explosion in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - An investigation is underway after a gas explosion left three people injured in East Los Angeles on Sunday.

According to authorities, a gas leak and explosion were reported around 3:21 p.m. inside a single-story business on the city's East Side.

Three people were injured and transported to local hospitals. However, the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

It's unclear what ignited the explosion.
