Yuma County coronavirus cases surpass 150
County also confirms second death from illness
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma County Public Health District confirmed another 15 cases of coronavirus Thursday, bringing the countywide total to 157. They also report the county's second death from the illness.
Health officials say the latest victim of the virus is a child. The young victim is the first child from Arizona killed by coronavirus.

New statistics indicate 182 new tests, a significant rise due to Yuma County's continued testing blitz. There is also a spike in hospitalizations, rising by five patients in one day.
Of the 15 new cases, eight are in the 20-44 age-range, which continues to be the age group with the highest number of cases countywide.
