Hotter conditions return to Desert Southwest

KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The region is expected to see slightly higher than normal temperatures, with highs reaching the mid 70s. This increase from yesterday is expected to continue with potential for highs to reach the low 80s during the week.

Winds will remain lower for most of today and tomorrow morning. As for Monday afternoon, the same trend should continue for most of the Desert Southwest excluding Yuma and San Luis. Across that southern area, winds will reach up to 15+ mph on Monday afternoon, with a possibility of 20 mph gusts on the table. This will not last for a long time however, as gusts are anticipated to die back down as the evening roles around.

Get ready for a rise in temperatures this week.
