One injured in Somerton crash

SOMERTON, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- A two-car crash leaves one person injured Monday in Somerton.

The Somerton Cocopah Fire Department (SCFD) said the accident happened at West Main Street and Carlisle Avenue.

SCFD said after arriving at the scene of the accident they found a red Ford F-150 pickup truck and a grey Toyota Tacoma disabled in front of a crosswalk.

Reports said both trucks were traveling eastbound at the time of the accident when the grey truck stopped at the crosswalk.

SCFD said the accident caused serious damage to the red F-150 truck.

The driver of the red truck was treated for injuries but refused to be transported to the hospital.

The driver of the grey truck and his two other passengers refused any treatment from emergency personnel, SCFD said.
