The Arizona Western softball team splits a home series with Eastern Arizona

YUMA, Ariz. ( KYMA, KECY-TV ) - The AWC Lady Matadors have relied on strong pitching through most of April but it hasn't produced many wins. The Lady Matadors are 3-5 in the month of April due to a lack of hitting. After a road trip split against Pima over the weekend, AWC returned home to face Eastern Arizona on Tuesday. The result was much of the same. Strong pitching and not enough run support. AWC lost game one in extra innings to the Gila Monsters 3-2 while taking game two 2-0.
