Yuma mayor to host three more “Community Conversations”

City of Yuma

Come make a difference in your community

YUMA, Ariz - Yuma Mayor Douglass Nicholls will host three more "Community Conversations," giving residents the chance to ask questions, and  discuss how to improve their neighborhoods.

Attendees will have the chance to openly engage with Mayor Nichols about issues or concerns they have about their communities.

You can even simply attend to listen and be informed about what's going on in your neighborhood.

The first meeting will be focused on the neighborhood between Avenue B and the west City limits, as well as south of 12th street.

It will be held on Monday, November 18, at Pueblo Elementary School (2803 West 20th Street), running from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The second community meeting will be for the neighborhood between 24th Street and County 14th Street, as well as between Avenue B and Avenue 4E.

This meeting will take place at Palmcroft Elementary School, (901 W. Palmcroft Drive) on Thursday, November 21,  from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The third meeting will be for all residents residing on the east side of Avenue 3E. It will be held at the Yuma Readiness Center,  on Thursday, December 5, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

“Actively listening to the community’s input is key to being able to serve the community to the best of my ability,” said Mayor Douglas Nicholls.

“I appreciate those who email, call, and come to City Council meetings. I hope to reach all parts of the community to connect with residents of all ages, occupations and neighborhoods.”

Translation assistance for Spanish speakers will be available to those who need it. Comment cards will also be available at the meetings for residents who would like to engage anonymously.
