Ex- Yuma officer accused of inappropriate relationship appears in court

YUMA, Ariz. (KSWT/KECY/KYMA) - Bobby Garcia the former Yuma police resource officer accused of having an inappropriate sexual relationship with a minor was back in court today.

Garcia was put on paid administrative leave in April and resigned in May. Yuma Police arrested Garcia on the night of December 19, after an 8-month long investigation.

He now faces an additional felony charge, bringing the total charges he now faces to 29.

Among those include 15 counts for sexual conduct with a minor.

Garcia posted bail last week and is due back in court on January 9th.
