Community comes together for “Christmas In A Small Town”

IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY)- Christmas came early for valley residents.

Hundreds of community members took part in the 31st Annual "Christmas In A Small Town" event in imperial.

The event puts money back into the economy for local vendors and businesses.

Families also enjoyed holiday pictures with Santa and children had the opportunity to get their face painted.

Imperial Chamber of Commerce Executive Director, Susan Paradis said about the event's legacy, "People are like 'I remember coming when I was a kid, and I bring my kids every year.' So they look forward to that. They have fond memories as a child and they look forward to instilling those memories to their children."

Paradis said this year had over 130 vendors participating in the event.
