“Mountain Lion” spotting turns out to be domestic cat

Yuma, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - The Arizona Game and Fish Department said a picture circulating on social media depicting what looked like a mountain lion turned out to just be a domestic cat.

Wildlife Manager Sector Supervisor Mike Rice said this picture was taken Friday at 1 p.m. in the same location where the previous spotting was reported. That is what lead AZ Game and Fish to determine the spotting was not accurate.
