New app for Colorado River Historic State Park

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY)- The Colorado River State Historic Park now has a self-guided tour app for Android phones and will soon have one for iOS devices.

The Southwest Technical Educational District of Yuma (STEDY) students are responsible for creating and designing this app and the Kofa High School drama students narrated the tour.

The Yuma Crossing National Heritage Area App provides a self-guided tour of the Colorado River State Historic Park, more commonly known as the QuarterMaster Depot.

The exhibits at the park cover 2 different time periods, from the original use in the 1870s as the QuarterMaster Depot, to the later use in the 1920s by the Bureau of Reclamation.

Audio recordings tell the stories of the two time periods, similar to the presentation you would get from a tour guide.

Go into your google play store on your mobile device, in the search bar type Yuma Crossing and the app will appear free to download.
