EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)-The Blue Angels took pictures with fans and signed autographs Sunday.

The annual meet and greet was held at the El Centro Regional Medical Center, (ECRMC).

"A big part of what we do is serve the community. So it's great coming out here and putting smiles on people's faces," said Jay Means, Blue Angels team member.

In between practice the Blue Angels also volunteer at ECRMC once a week as part of their service to the community.

"1977 was my first one, and I was amazed because I had never seen that before, airplanes crossing each other and almost hitting each other, man it was exciting," said Rosalind Summers.

"We try to come every year, we brought our kids and now we bring our grandkids. This is nice that they do this and make it personal," said summers.

The 50th Annual Air Show will be on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
