Calexico PD search for suspect involved in drive-by shooting

CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KSWT, T3)-A drive-by shooting Tuesday night in Calexico left a man wounded. 

The Calexico Police Department (CPD), responded to reports of a possible shooting in the Kennedy Gardens neighborhood just before 8:00 pm. 

“When we arrived on scene the victim was standing by the sidewalk and had blood pouring down from his leg,” said Ismael Granados,  Calexico Police Department. 

CPD says the victim was shot one time. According to residents in the area they heard at least two shots fired. 

At this moment CPD has no leads on the suspect or on the car involved in the shooting. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to contact CPD.
