On Wednesday, a traditional holiday side dish finally became the main event when Green Giant unveiled the world's largest green bean casserole in New York City. The massive dish of yumminess tipped the scales at a whopping 1,009 pounds!
The folks at Green Giant cooked up the idea to coincide with the debut of its "Harvest in the Valley" float in next week's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
The king-sized casserole will be served to thousands of home-bound senior citizens around New York.
