Homeless Man Turns Life Around

It all started with a commercial ad that helped turn a man’s life around.

A 22-year-old Yuma native, Luciano Arreguin’s became homeless last year and turned to Crossroads Mission, a faith-based organization dedicated to helping individuals.

Arreguin lost his construction job in October 2018 and was renting a trailer before reaching out to Crossroads Mission for help.

Crossroads Mission currently has 120 guests in its men’s shelter

Before Culver began working at the shelter four years ago, he went through the program himself. Crossroads Mission helped him turn his life around and dedicates his career to help others do the same.

One of Culvers favorite things about his job is when guests leave they have a chance to restart their lives.

Toda marks Arreguin’s last day at Crossroads Mission. He is leaving tomorrow and moving to Salinas, Calif., to be reunited with his wife for the first time since February of this year.

That’s not the only change in his life.

After his time at the shelter, he found prayer and a new career path.

Arreguin will be starting a new job as a Child Care Taker, a job he never saw himself doing before beginning his road at Crossroads Mission.
