Pearl Harbor commemoration helps community
Yuma repair shop teams up with Rural Metro to honor veterans and help those in need
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - A local auto repair shop is hosting an event commemorating Pearl Harbor Day and benefiting the community.
FTS Automotive and Diesel Center will hold the event Saturday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
In addition to remembering and honoring the infamous December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, the gathering will offer food, fun, and family activities. Some of the highlights include:
- A replica World War II submarine
- Free Coke products
- Tacos
- Ice cream
- Face painting for the kids
In addition, Rural Metro will be on hand to collect coats, blankets, and donations for Crossroads Mission.
FTS Automotive and Diesel Center is located at 1701 S. Arizona Avenue, near the Navy Federal Credit Union.
