Upcoming: Colorado River Crossing Balloon Festival

YUMA, Ariz - The annual Colorado River Crossing balloon Festival is one of Yuma's most iconic fall events, attracting balloons and balloon-enthusiasts from all over the Desert Southwest and beyond.

The festival, represented by the Caballeros de Yuma, is held each year in November. This year, It will be held on November 22-24. 

Join the crowd and you'll see a variety of local establishments represented via hot air balloon.

The event is spread across three days, using the Colorado river and the desert scenery surrounding Yuma as its backdrop.

The "Balloon Glow" takes place on Saturday night at the Desert Sun Stadium in Yuma, where tethered balloons fill the field with their burners at full blast, with accompanying music. 

Apart from the stunning balloons, there will also be food, drinks, vendors, and more.

The following is the schedule for the 2019 Balloon Festival:

Friday, November 22

  • 6:00 a.m. to 10:00am 
    • Media Launches at Kiwanis Park (8th Street)

Saturday, November 23

  • 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. 
    • Sunrise Launches at West Wetlands Park (1st street and 12th Avenue)
  • 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. 
    • Balloon Festival Glow at Desert Sun Stadium (Avenue A and Desert Sun Drive)

Sunday, November 24

  • 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
    • Sunrise Launches at West Wetlands Park
