Biden infrastructure plan talks end with no deal

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - President Joe Biden's infrastructure talks with a Senate GOP group led by West Virginia Republican Shelley Moore Capito broke down on Tuesday.

The two sides have been trying to come to an agreement with major disputes on the cost of the plan and how to pay for it.

The White House is now pivoting to a forthcoming proposal from a bipartisan Senate group led by Democratic Senator Joe Manchin.

The decision to shift focus away from the negotiations with Republicans follows a quick, five minute phone call between Biden and Capito.

The White House and Capito's office both confirmed that Biden has ended negotiations.
