Potential 2024 US Senate run for Kari Lake

(CNN, KYMA/KECY) - A source close to defeated Republican Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake says she is considering running for the U.S. Senate in 2024.

The Senate seat is currently held by Kyrsten Sinema, who recently switched from the Democratic party to become an Independent.

Lake lost the Arizona governor’s race in November, but has not conceded.

In December, an Arizona judge rejected Lake's lawsuit seeking to overturn her defeat.

The judge concluded there wasn’t clear or convincing evidence of misconduct.

Lake, a Trump supporter who denies the outcome of the 2020 Presidential election, has appealed the court’s decision.

The source close to Lake says lake will not make a final decision on whether to run for Senate until after her court case is completed.
