YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Speaking with the Arizona Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema spoke on three things.
Straightaway, Sinema spoke on her work expanding economic opportunities, lowering prices, and advancing pro-growth policies for Arizona's business community.
“Arizonans don’t view solutions to the problems they face through red or blue lenses. Instead, they focus their energies on building better lives for themselves and their families. That’s exactly the approach I take as Arizona’s senior Senator, and that approach has delivered results,” said Sinema.
Equally important, roughly 99.5% of Arizona's businesses are small businesses, and she focuses on advancing pro-growth policies.
This will promote economic competitiveness and ensure small and mid-sized businesses have the resources they need to thrive.
Changing tax policies
More specifically, Sinema heard from local employers across Arizona underscoring their concerns with changing tax policies.
They fear that these changes would hinder their ability to create jobs, grow the economy, and compete.
Furthermore, these concerns is why Sinema ensured the Inflation Reduction Act did not hurt their ability to create jobs and compete.
Chips and Science Act
Additionally, Sinema pointed to how her bipartisan Chips and Science Act, signed into law last month, makes the largest investment in American semiconductor manufacturing in U.S. history.
Accordingly, in her speech, Sinema addresses critical supply chain challenges, supporting thousands of Arizona jobs, strengthening national security, lowering costs for families in Arizona and across the country, and more.
Also, Sinema highlighted that partisan Washington political games jeopardized the size and scope of the act.
However, Sinema highlights how she and Republican Senator Todd Young (Ind.) brought their colleagues together and led the legislation into law.
