Rob Fram rejoined the KYMA News Team in February 2010.
Rob Fram’s love for broadcasting started out when he would pretend to be a sports broadcaster with a cassette tape recorder as a child. What he didn’t know then was that he would be talking to everybody about the weather when he grew up!
While attending Northern Arizona University, Rob auditioned to be one of the sportscasters on the “University TV” program and wound up getting assigned one of the weather forecaster positions! He would go on to graduate with a bachelors degree in Electronic Media in 2000.
Some of you may know that Rob Fram is no stranger to the News 11 team because this is his second term with KYMA. You might remember Rob giving weather forecasts from 2002 to 2004 before moving on to the NBC affiliate (KTAL) in Shreveport, Louisiana. Rob eventually came back to the west coast and has gone on to attend and graduate Calvary Chapel Bible College (Murrieta, CA) from 2007 to 2009. Now he is excited to be reunited with the News 11 team as an anchor for the Early and Nightside editions, as well as, present the weather during the week.
Rob has a great love and appreciation for our desert climate and culture. Largely in part because he has spent much of his life right here; growing up in Yuma. Rob is a big fan of country cooking, Mexican food, and loves to read! He is thankful for the love and support of God, his family, and friends near and far.
