Dominique Newland – Anchor/Producer

Dominique joined KYMA in June 2019 as a Sunrise anchor. She grew up in Carmel, Indiana. Go Hoosiers!

Dominique received her degree in Broadcast Journalism from Indiana University in May 2019. During her time at IU, she was a reporter and anchor for Indiana University Student Television (IUSTV), served as the special affairs chair for the local chapter of The National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and spent a semester of her junior year studying in Los Angeles. Her previous internships include WISH-TV and WTHR in Indianapolis, The Late Late Show with James Corden, Magical Elves, and You’re So Beautiful Now.

When she isn’t anchoring, she loves traveling the world, staying up to date with her favorite YouTubers, trying out new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.

Dominique is excited to call Yuma home and looks forward to informing residents on all the news they need to start their mornings.
