Yuma Art Center kicks off Summer Movie Mania

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma Arts Center kicked off their Summer Movie Mania Saturday by showing the “Good Dinosaur” to a crowd of about 300 people.
Events Coordinator Eugene Garcia said, “We’re doing free movies here at 2 p.m. all this summer so kids can get out of the heat. Parents can have somewhere to take their kids free to go watch a good movie.”
Their goal is to max out on seating and give kids and opportunity to get out of their house but also out of the heat.
Garcia said, “I think a lot of kids just pen up you know, they just got out school and they’re finding things to do. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money this is a good option. Come out of the heat you know, we have A/C all day. So you come, get some soda, get some popcorn and watch a free movie.”
The Yuma Arts Center will be showing more movies soon and invites the whole family.
Garcia explained, “We have a lot of shows coming up like I said June 18th we’ll have “The Minions”, June 23rd we’ll have “Aladdin” and then on August 20th at 7 p.m. we’ll have “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” so we’re really excited about that as well.”
