Witnesses claim Yuma men ran over several victims

YUMA, Ariz. – The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office said two men are behind bars after they allegedly ran through a crowd of people at the confluence of the Gila River and Colorado River, sending six victims to the hospital.

YCSO said deputies responded to the incident last Saturday at 4:15 a.m. When they arrived they talked to several witnesses, saying the suspects had arrived at the confluence when a fight broke out with the two suspects and two other people.

Witnesses said once the fight ended, the suspects got into their vehicle and drove it through a crowd, hitting numerous victims and running over one of the victims twice. Deputies said six people were taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center.

Deputies have identified the suspects as Ryan Alexander Albright, 20, of Yuma and Cory Alexander, 19, also of Yuma. Both were booked into the Yuma County Jail  on six counts of Aggravated Assault, six counts of Attempted Second-Degree Murder and one Aggravated Assault on a Juvenile.
